As the 2024 U.S. presidential election enters the decisive stage, in order to give Trump canvassing, U.S. billionaire Musk once again play “money ability”, he announced that every day will be randomly selected a voter who signed the petition of the U.S. political action committees and issued 1 million U.S. dollars, until the election day.
Election day every day to send 1 million dollars
Speaking at a pro-Trump event in Pennsylvania on Oct. 19 local time, Musk announced that he would be handing out $1 million a day until Nov. 5, U.S. Election Day, to a random Pennsylvania voter who signs an America PAC petition.
The petition asks signers to support free speech and the right to bear arms. Musk said he hoped more people would learn about the petition.
The first signer of the day to receive $1 million has been created, a Pennsylvania man named John Dreyer. He describes himself as a “big fan” of Musk.
Pennsylvania is considered a “key state” in the swing states for the 2024 election. Musk recently promised voters in swing states other than Pennsylvania that he would get $47 for signing the petition, and another $47 if he referred others to sign it.
In support of Trump’s campaign, Musk has funded U.S. political action committees and conducted massive door-to-door campaigning for Trump in states like Pennsylvania.
According to Federal Election Commission (FEC) public filings, Musk has donated nearly $75 million to PACs in the past three months.
The PAC has spent about $72 million of that money on voters in swing states and is focusing on individuals who have expressed support for Trump but may not end up voting for him. The organization has said that they plan to conduct three rounds of contact with targeted voters before Election Day arrives.
The aforementioned documents also show that Dick Uihlein, president of Uline, a U.S. shipping company, has donated $49 million to Trump in the past three months; and during the same period casino mogul Miriam Adelson has donated even more to another pro-Trump super PAC – the -Protect America Political Action Committee (PAC) with a $95 million donation.
U.S. Election Enters Runoff
Currently, the U.S. election has entered a decisive stage.
On October 19, local time, US Vice President and Democratic presidential candidate Harris campaigned in Michigan and Georgia. Former President and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, on the other hand, held a rally in Pennsylvania.
Both candidates have 48 percent support among voters, according to the latest NBC poll released earlier; another 4 percent of respondents said they would hesitate or would not vote for either when having to choose between the two party candidates.
Compare that to NBC’s poll results in September, when Harris was still leading Trump by five points, 49 percent to 44 percent.
NBC says the race is neck-and-neck as it shifts from summer to fall and Harris’ campaign momentum has stopped.
The latest poll results also reflect the uncertainty of this election.
But the betting markets are tilting the scales significantly in Trump’s favor, with data from the Polymarket website showing that Trump’s probability of winning the election is now up to 61 percent, well ahead of Harris’ 39 percent.
If Trump is re-elected president, he could fundamentally reshape the world trade system. He has said that if he makes it to the White House, he will put trade taxes at the center of his agenda.
